The Pursuit of Happiness is for all!
God did not say for some, for these people or for most. He declared that it is everyone’s opportunity to have everlasting life.
I come today with a humble apology for those that have been judged, misused, lied on, cheated on, victimized, hurt, abused, criticized, shut out, made a fool of, mistreated, outcast; etc because they did not fit into someone else’s view of what they thought God meant and used the word of God to harm, hurt and kill any living thing.
I apologize that some of our church leaders are choosing to be politicians instead of prophets. I am sorry that the spiritual leaders and not being a good representative of leadership that their doctrine says that they should be. This goes for all religions. I am sorry that the ONE thing we should all be able to find hope and life in now has such a negative tone in people’s ear and a bad taste in their mouths. The one thing that people should be able to find love and rest in for their soul seem too far to reach. That the dysfunctional churches are molding members that go out into the world and but look no different from the rest. The church was created to shine it’s like and to looked different from the rest to restore, revive and keep faith, hope and love in the front of everyone’s mind.
I am truly and deeply sorry that you are feeling the way that you do when someone speaks the words like; Lord, God, Jesus or the Holy Ghost and the only memories you have are not good. That those words which should gleam and feel like love now have you feeling disgusted, bitter, angry, cheated and violated.
You are certainly entitled to your feelings and those feelings are real. I want you to have those feelings let’s talk about them because that is how we heal. I too once felt that way for a long time and each day I am continuing to change as I pursue the happiness that God wants me to have. Why can’t you see that these are the effects of the systematic racist society? You truly, really want to dismantle racism?! We have to touch on religion too. We are being divided by every little difference that we have and it is keeping us in a state of confusion and conflict with one another the closer we yearn, seek and have the interest to work together and dismantle all that is going on. But we do not fight against flesh, but we wrestle against principalities and rulers of darkness.
I believe we are on the right track and must remain vigilant and not be distracted by fighting about what we differ on.
This is a set up and I am not selling out! My only goal is to change myself and love others.
